Happy New Year!
As TD Jakes says “Get Ready! Get Ready! Get Ready!”
Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord. Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes: For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left: and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited. The words of the Prophet Isaiah to Israel seem fitting to me on this New Year’s day. Singing for today instead of wailing over the past. I imagine that he smiled when he burst forth with “ Enlarge your tent stakes!” “And lengthen your cords!” Spiritual growth, increased wisdom, and prosperity in health and wealth. “Get Ready! Get Ready! Get Ready!”
In times of adversity, it has felt like God was hiding but on this day, God said “with everlasting kindness” will He dispense His mercy. Our Redeemer lives!
There are too many words to describe what 2013 was to me. lol Grace and Mercy were there because He (God) loves me. And God helped my moments of unbelief when He was “radio” silent. But I know that God is ALWAYS working behind the scene to turn every negative to an everlasting positive . (Romans 8:28) I can welcome 2014 because In quietness and confidence is my strength (Isaiah 30:15) and because I know that Yes, God is in EVERYTHING!!!
