Jesus has been described as “ a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”( Proverbs 18:24) And we can be grateful for our High Priest, Jesus who understands our frailties.(Hebrews 4:15)
Though we cannot knock on His physical door, we can respond to His call on our heart to accept all that He has done. We are all 
that Jesus is (righteous) and we have that Jesus has –peace, wisdom, prosperity, and eternal life. But there are times when I (we) need a friend. Someone to listen is good but there are times when what I need most is answers!
Jesus said:
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.__John 14:26 KJV
I ‘d like to talk you about my (our) friend:
He is a Confidant available at all hours, less than a breath away
He is speaks only Truth with no condemnation
He is the Wisdom of God
He is an enCourager
He is The Comforter, Holy Spirit
When our Savior walked the Earth He was “Emmanuel , God with us”. He so lovingly saw our need for a constant companion after He had returned to Our Father and sent to us the Holy Spirit.
Resurrected Jesus said to His disciples (followers) save Thomas:
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost__ John 20: 21-22 KJV
