My musings about Christian Life are just that, because I have far more questions than answers. Growing in Christ is indeed a process, a relationship that is ever-changing ever-deepening with each new experience. Yes, there are boundaries because the human mind is finite and Gods ways are innumerable. But Our Father is willing to reveal Himself to us as He did to Abraham, Moses and to David. God provided a way for us to know Him: He sent His Word in the form of Holy Scriptures. Then God sent His Son in human form, who sent The Comforter to be with us always, so that we may know The Father. As with any relationship, knowing the other person is the key to intimacy and confidence.
Why is this so important? Because Jesus said, in this life you will have tribulations. (John 16:33) And in difficult times, like David, I would have fainted lest I believed that I would see the Goodness of the Lord IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. __ Psalm 27:13-14 NIV
What I (we) need in difficult times is the assurance that all that does not feel good and look good, is re-made in theh and of The Master. That which is marred in my life is thrown again to fit the Good Plan that God has for me. (Jeremiah 29:11)
What I need in adverse circumstances is a bird’s eye view From the bird’s eye view, it is all (God) Good.
The bird’s eye view is a chosen perspective that has decided to no longer be offended because God has allowed a difficult circumstance. Instead, I recognize that there is a higher purpose for the trouble and that God’s love limits the pain.
This perspective recalls God’s past faithfulness to provide whatever I needed in the nick of time to revive or rescue a failing soul.
The bird’s eye view looks ahead to mountain top experiences that will take full advantage of all the lessons gained in the valley.
