The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you. For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.__ Zechariah 4:8-10 KJV
As I have shared before, one of the things that my grandmother so impressed upon me as a child was : “God sees ALL.” When you are small child , that concept can make you careful in the purest intent of the word. But as an adult, I, like the Prophet Zechariah find the thought “strength for the journey. “
God is no less loving than an earthly father who would see his child struggle with pain, doubt, indecision, sustenance or sin and avail himself and all of His resources to aid him. We have only to ask in faith and trust in His goodness.
Jesus said: Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?__ Matthew 7:9-11
We have a real enemy, not just to us personally as children of the Most High, but to our destiny- our God–ordained assignment. We don’t need to be fearful or even full of care; but neither should we be ignorant to the existence of opposition. I Peter 5:8 instructs us to be “vigilant” or watchful of our adversary. Like Zechariah, just knowing that Our Father sees us is assurance of completion.
“his hands shall also finish it;”
God sees you and God sees me!
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:__IPeter 5:8 KJV
