David said: Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.__Psalm 24:3-4
God’s man shares what he has learned in his intimacy with Holy God in his Psalm 24. David has killed his ten thousands (1 Samuel 18:7) but he knows something about clean hands. Serving God was his bread and seeking God was his water. David fought for God’s chosen people. Today, I think ”clean hands” connotes an absence of violence but it is more than that. Clean hands for the believer can mean being light in a dark place. Fearing, esteeming God more than man. Not sitting by and allowing evil to flourish.
My best definition of pure is: unmixed or singular in composition. (peanut butter NO jelly kool-aid NO sugar . . . getting a little loopy over here. lol)
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.__Matthew 5:8
And Yes, God is in everything!
