I love the beautiful wrappings of Christmas . . . shiny red, embossed green, royal blue and my favorite—shimmering gold! (Even if they are empty boxes. lol) These uniquely dressed parcels demonstrate the talent of the wrapper and the beauty of the paper fabrics.
Well Jesus is God wrapped in human flesh. The Bible says at I John 1:14, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.
If you already know Jesus as Lord then you know the value of an eternal relationship with God, the Father—Jesus, His Son and —Our Comforter and Guide, Holy Spirit.
Many of us have answered God’s call to our hearts; we have said “Yes” to His invitation to become His son or daughter. Or maybe we, like the prodigal son return to His service after suffering the disillusionment and weariness of “making it happen” in our own strength. When our efforts and our will power ran out, we were like lifeless cold clumps of clay.
Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. _Jeremiah 16:3 -4 KJV
But in the Master’s hands we are broken, and cast again – born again – into useful vessels for His purpose in His service and to His glory.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.__1 John 4:10
So you have opened the gift of Our Father’s Love???After we open the gift, we are commissioned to give it away! Merry Christmas!
