what if . . . ?

What if . . . question mark

In the mouth of a child, “what if ” is a phrase of hope and discovery. But those same two words become an ominous taunt in the mind of  a soul living in uncertainnest blue eggsty.  Negative thoughts  are  tools of our enemy used to create doubt. Martin Luther is credited with saying “You can’t stop birds from flying over your head, but you can keep them from making a nest in your hair.” lol

Paul writes to the  Corinthians ( and to us ) as to what we are to do with those  fiery darts of doubt:

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV)

The battle truly is  in the mind.    A soul at sea , a soul in a storm needs and anchor–The  Word of God

When I think “what if ”   .  .  .the  Bible says:

what if

  •  What if  I don’t have enough .  .  .

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus__. Philipians 4:19 KJV

  • What if I  get sick .  .  .

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.__ Isaiah 53:5 KJV

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies__ Psalms 103:2-4 KJV

  •  What if I  lack confidence.  .  .

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? __Romans 8:31 KJV

The only way to handle a “what if ”  question is with the cross! crossBecause Jesus did it all!
